Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your Truman Boot Co. purchase.

How do I determine my correct size in Truman boots?

We generally recommend sizing down a half size from your standard Brannock device measurement for most of our lasts. For specific guidance on different leather types and widths, please consult our comprehensive sizing guide located on each product page.

What is the current lead time for Made-to-Order boots?

Our Made-to-Order (MTO) boots typically ship within 8 to 12 weeks. Small batch and ready-to-ship items usually process within 3 to 5 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order leaves our facility.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we ship worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or brokerage fees imposed by their local customs office.

What is your return and exchange policy?

We accept returns on unworn, pristine condition boots within 30 days of delivery. Boots must be tried on a carpeted surface to avoid scuffing the outsoles. Please note that certain limited-run leathers or customized orders may be final sale.

Can Truman boots be resoled?

Absolutely. Our boots are constructed using traditional stitchdown or Goodyear welt methods, allowing them to be resoled by any competent cobbler. This ensures your boots can last for many years with proper maintenance.

How should I care for the leather on my boots?

We recommend regular brushing with a horsehair brush to remove dust and dirt. Depending on the leather type (Roughout vs. Smooth), you should use a high-quality conditioner or wax every 3-6 months to keep the leather hydrated and supple.
